Frequently Asked Questions
What is Leave a Sigh?
Leave a Sigh is an ongoing project that collects recordings of human sighs.
Why sighs?
A sigh can express relief, exhaustion, grief, anticipation, frustration, acceptance, or something impossible to describe. Every sigh is different.
Do I have to explain my sigh?
No.
You’re invited to leave one natural sigh.
No explanation is necessary.
Can I speak?
The project is intended for sighs rather than spoken messages.
If words are included, they may be edited or omitted.
Are recordings anonymous?
Yes. Recordings are collected anonymously. We do not ask for your name, and recordings are not credited to individual contributors.
Will my sigh be heard by others?
Some recordings may become part of future artistic projects, exhibitions, publications, or listening experiences.
Can I remove my recording later?
No. Recordings are submitted anonymously and cannot be linked back to individual contributors. Once submitted, a recording becomes part of the archive.
